Freezing In The Dark-Julius-The snow was beginning to fall lightly as Julius' horse bounded through the banks and drifts. There were two feet of it already on the ground form the previous blizzards, and mighty hooves kicked up the powder with every leap. Both rider and horse were dressed for the cold: a thick saddle blanket on one, a fur-lined winter cloak on the other. The young king's cheeks were ruddy with chill, a grin stretched between them. There was nothing more he loved during this season of the year than to ride Dustin through the snow, jumping over fences and rocky outcroppings. The wind whipped their manes about as they flew through the wide clearing in the woods that acted as a summer road for gypsy caravans and traveling merchants.
